SOURCING & IMPORT COORDINATION PROCESS
Industrial sourcing and import coordination
Industrial Index provides structured access to industrial products manufactured in China.
We operate as an import and sourcing coordination service, not as an online shop or marketplace.
Products displayed in the catalog show unit prices referring to product cost only.
Shipping, logistics, customs duties and import VAT are not included and are defined through a direct request and a controlled import process.
────────────────────────
1. Product selection and request
You browse the catalog by industry or product datasheet.
Each product page shows:
-
technical reference
-
unit price for the product cost
-
sourcing context
There is no online checkout.
You submit a request to:
-
confirm specifications
-
define quantity
-
evaluate feasibility
-
start the sourcing process
────────────────────────
2. Commercial agreement (off-platform)
After your request, all commercial terms are defined before any order is placed.
This includes:
-
product model and configuration
-
quantity
-
unit price (product cost)
-
Incoterms (FOB / CIF / DAP)
-
production lead time
-
payment method
-
importer of record (always the customer)
No order proceeds without these points clearly agreed.
────────────────────────
3. Customer as Importer of Record
In this model, the customer acts as Importer of Record.
This means:
-
goods are imported in the customer’s name
-
customs clearance is performed on the customer’s behalf
-
import VAT and customs duties are paid by the customer
-
VAT is deductible according to local regulations
Industrial Index does not resell goods domestically and does not act as importer.
────────────────────────
4. Sourcing and production in China
Once the agreement is confirmed:
-
the selected manufacturer is contacted
-
production is scheduled
-
technical and commercial details are verified
Industrial Index coordinates:
-
supplier communication
-
order execution
-
document preparation
All decisions remain under controlled approval.
────────────────────────
5. Logistics and shipment definition
Industrial logistics is defined before shipment, not at delivery.
This includes:
-
transport mode (sea, rail, air)
-
port of departure and arrival
-
EU customs broker / forwarder
-
shipment timing
Shipping and import-related costs are quoted separately based on actual conditions.
────────────────────────
6. Documents control before shipment
Before goods leave the factory, all documents are reviewed and approved.
Mandatory documents:
-
Commercial Invoice
-
Packing List
-
Bill of Lading / Air Waybill (draft)
We verify that:
-
importer data is correct
-
descriptions are technically accurate
-
quantities and values match the agreement
-
Incoterms are correct
Shipment proceeds only after document approval.
────────────────────────
7. Customs clearance in the EU
When goods arrive in the EU:
-
the customs broker clears the shipment
-
import VAT and customs duties are handled
-
the customer is invoiced by the broker
-
goods are released and delivered
Industrial Index supports the process but does not pay duties or VAT.
